GCG EVENT PARTNERS NEWSLETTER
FALL 2017
Fall has come to a close and the holiday season is in full swing. The GCG team is hard at work closing out another successful year while trying to work off all the turkey we enjoyed at Thanksgiving. The end of 2017 has proved to be even busier than expected, and the first quarter of 2018 is already looking very promising. In light of this, GCG is continues to flourish. This fall, we added more personnel to our growing GCG family after having already expanded earlier this year. We hope 2017 was as successful for you and we look forward to our continued partnership in the coming year. We wish you all a Happy New Year!

Planning and executing an event is not for the faint of heart. It often feels like you need to be in many places at once. Utilizing On-Site Meeting Professionals can ease the burden on you while saving you money. Our resident blogger, Cara O’Neill, walks us through The Top 5 Reasons You Need to Hire an On-Site Meeting Professional.
Our clients have grown accustomed to using our network of members to manage their meetings across the country. What a lot of people don’t realize, however, is that we can also be of great value assisting at trade shows. GCG professionals can staff your booth and make it a smashing success while freeing you from having to travel and be out of the office for days. As always, we’re there for you; every event, everywhere, every time.
One of our esteemed GCG Members, Terry Matthews-Lombardo, contributed to our blog by writing an insightful piece for us in October. She talks about the different, and sometimes unexpected places a career in event planning can take you. Terry offers some great tips you can follow when planning for the unexpected. For more about Terry and her experiences, you can follow her blog here at Hospitality Hive.

Welcome to the Team, Tara!
Tara began her career in Office Administration back in 1995 where she found herself immersed in the financial services industry. For many years she’s been an active volunteer in her community which began when she took a sabbatical from paid employment in order to raise her family. When Tara decided to return to the workforce, she set her sights once again on administrative pursuits within the public sector. Joining the GCG Team as our new Office Administrator, Tara adds a new vitality to our office.
When not at work, Tara enjoys spending time at the beach, golfing, quilting and enjoying the company of her family. Tara and her husband, Barry, are parents to 3 busy teens: ages 18, 16 and 14.
